What kind of lash extensions do you offer?
Meraki Beauty offers faux mink lash extensions of the highest quality available on the market today. These lashes come in various lengths, weights, and styles to help you achieve your uniquely gorgeous set. We offer Classic Lash Extensions which is where a lash technician will apply one .15 weight lash per each one of your NL. Volume Lash Extensions consist of 2-4 lash fans. Each fan is hand made specifically designed for you and your style and are never, ever premade. This results in a breathtaking look that is unique to only you. Our Hybrid Lash Extensions are a mix between Classic and Volume techniques giving you a gorgeously textured and fluffy look. Mega Volume Lash Extension technique uses feather light lashes to create mega lash fans of 5-20 lashes giving you lashes that are their absolute densest, darkest, and fullest.
Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?
The biggest myth is that lash extensions ruin your own lashes. They do not. If applied correctly they are 100% safe to your NL. I will go one step further to say that when you are getting your services through a true professional who is passionate, dedicated, and experiences you are going to experience a healthier and fuller lash growth than you ever did on your own! Just ask any of my clients! There are so many uneducated people there spreading untruths and so many uneducated techs who are indeed damaging their clients lashes through the use of too much glue, sticking numerous lashes together, and so on that it's giving our beautiful industry a bad name. How long does the lash extension application take?
New lash extension sets take anywhere between 2-3 hours. Mega Volume lash sets will take more time. The fills are in the range of one hour depending on how often you come in and the type of set you are wearing at the moment.
What is the lash extensions application like?
First time clients fill out a client intake form, ask questions, and have a lash analysis. We'll discuss the best shape, length, and thickness based on your personal face and eye shape.
Returning clients will have a quick review to discuss any lash concerns, adjust the shape, length and/or weight of the lashes used, and tweak what's necessary, if necessary at all.
We then drape you for the procedure, wrapping your hair in a warm towel and securing it for the remainder of the service. An optional blanket and knee booster is available for your comfort.
TIP: You are welcome to bring in headphones with your favorite music, podcast, or audiobook.
During the lashing procedure, the client lays comfortably on a spa table while listening to soothing music (unless you're listening to your own). Moisturizing eye pads are placed to isolate your top lashes from your bottom ones and your eyes will remain closed for the remainder of the service. The technician will thoroughly cleanse and prep your lashes for the ultimate retention of your lash extensions with appropriate product. Then, one by one your lashes are isolated and meticulously lashed according to your desired shape, length, and volume as discussed during your consult. Lastly, we'll set your lash bond to help the new lash extension quickly bond to your natural lash for a long lasting, gorgeous look!
The service is followed by a review of home care procedures and a tall drink of water to hydrate.
How do I prepare for my lash extension appointment?
The process and results are much more favorable when you come with freshly and thoroughly cleaned eyes and lashes. Avoiding eye cream and moisturizer will help the eye pads or tape from slipping into your eyes during the procedure. The absence of product on your lashes will ensure a long retention time and your satisfaction. Wear glasses to the appointment rather than keeping in your contacts. Keep in mind, any eye infections or disease are contraindications to any services.
What are eyelash extensions?
Lash extensions are synthetic lashes added to each one of your own lashes in a meticulous and professional manner. An professional lash technician isolates one natural lash (NL) and places a synthetic lash on top of the NL avoiding sticking to other NL, applying too much adhesive, using lashes that are too long or heavy, and keeping your NL healthy. That is our number one priority - the health and integrity of your natural lashes.
How long do lash extensions last?
This is a questions best answered with an average of 2-3 weeks. There are clients who can't stand loosing a lash and come back for weekly fills while others have a million lashes per eye with slow hair growth that allows them to come in every 4 weeks or more. As you can see, there are many factors that determine exactly how long your set will last before it's time for a refill. Remember, the right aftercare is crucial for the best results.
